Professor Emeritus Katsuhiro Akimoto receives Honorary Doctorate from Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA)

On October 12, 2023, Dr. Katsuhiro Akimoto, Professor Emeritus and Specially Appointed Professor for Institute of Pure and Applied Sciences, was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor “Doctorat Honoris Causa” by Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA).  This honorary title is one of the most prestigious distinctions, was bestowed in recognition of his longstanding achievements in the field of semiconductor research and his contributions to the collaboration and student exchanges between our university and UGA. On the same day, a ceremony for the presentation of the certificate took place at the UGA campus, and it was handed over by President Yassine Lakhnech.
