The Degree Programs in Pure and Applied Sciences held a Student Report Session on November 11 (Monday) at Room 0110, Laboratory of Advanced Research B. This session featured a report by a student participating in the Tsukuba Resonance Education Program. We hosted the event in a hybrid format via Zoom this year.

The Tsukuba Resonance Education Program is a unique initiative of the Degree Programs in Pure and Applied Sciences, designed to nurture world-class human resources with a focus on international experiences. As part of this program, students are encouraged to study and research abroad.

At this year’s session, a doctoral student selected for the program in 2023 gave an oral presentation in English, sharing the results of her research and her experiences at University of Grenoble Alpes in France. Following the presentations, a lively Q&A session took place, providing participants with a valuable opportunity to exchange insights and discuss their research and experiences at overseas universities.

The session concluded with closing remarks from the Dean of the Degree Programs in Pure and Applied Sciences.

This year, the “International graduate program for integrated fields of nano, quantum, information and bio-technologies” applied by the Graduate School of Science and Technology, including our Degree Programs, was selected for the “INTER-UNIVERSITY EXCHANGE PROJECT” –Promoting Inter-University Exchange with European Universities. We will be developing a project to establish and implement an international exchange program with quality assurance between Japanese and European universities. This debriefing session was a good starting point for this project.
